What do you do when one problem after another hits—and you can't understand why God is allowing it? 🌧️

There are seasons of life when it feels like when it rains, it pours.

You make it through one difficult situation, only to face another. One piece of bad news arrives, and before you've even had time to process it, something else happens.

You pray. You seek God. You try to hold on to your faith.

But eventually, a question rises from the pain:

“WHY, GOD?”

Job experienced unimaginable loss. His possessions, servants, children, and eventually his health were taken from him. One tragedy followed another. Yet after receiving devastating news, Job fell to the ground and worshiped God.

Job suffered.

Job grieved.

Job asked questions.

But through his suffering, we encounter a truth we all eventually have to face:

WE ARE NOT GOD. HE IS. 🙏🏼

There isn't an easy explanation for every tragedy we experience. There may be situations where, on this side of eternity, we never fully understand why God allowed something to happen.

But Job 12 reminds us:

True wisdom and power belong to God. Counsel and understanding are His.

You may not know every why, but you can know the One in whom you rest. ❤️‍🔥

When you don't understand what God is doing…

When the answers don't come…

When your circumstances seem unfair…

When one difficulty follows another…

you can still rest in Him.

Because there is One who sees what we cannot see.

One who knows what we cannot know.

One who possesses all wisdom, understanding, and power.

And when we reach the end of our own answers, we can return to the feet of Jesus and say:

“I am not God. You are. And I need You, Lord.” 🙏🏼

Pastor Jeff reminds us that even when we don't understand what is happening, we can rest under the wings of the Lord who knows all things and is Almighty.
