What if God’s presence was never meant to be something you experience only on Sundays?

God did not create us to encounter Him once a week. Through Jesus, we have continual access to the presence of God. We can walk with Him, receive from Him, and experience a personal relationship with Him every single day.

In this powerful message, “Eat Jesus,” Pastor Jeff Tolle begins a new teaching centered around three foundational words that define who we are at Vida Church:

PRESENCE • PURPOSE • POWER

We believe we are called to live in the presence of God, walk in the purpose of God, and minister in the power of God. And in this first message, Pastor Jeff takes us through Scripture to discover what it really means to live in His PRESENCE.

📖 In Exodus, we discover something called “the Bread of the Presence.”

Inside the Holy Place stood a table where this bread remained continually before the Lord. It was replaced every seven days, and only the priests were permitted to eat it. Scripture describes this bread as a perpetual reminder of God’s eternal covenant with His people.

Why does that matter to us today?

Because when we become discouraged, frustrated, doubtful, or weak in our faith, the presence of God reminds us of His promises, His faithfulness, and the future He holds in His hands.

But the story of the bread doesn't end in the Tabernacle.

Years later, David—who was not a priest—was given the Bread of the Presence and ate it. Pastor Jeff shows us how this moment points prophetically toward something much greater: through Christ, we are now called a royal priesthood, with access to the presence of God.

And then we arrive at John 6.

After miraculously feeding thousands of people, Jesus makes an extraordinary declaration:

He is the Bread of Life.

The manna in the wilderness could satisfy hunger temporarily. The Bread of the Presence was replaced every week.

But Jesus offers something greater:

🍞 Bread that gives life.

❤️ Relationship with God.

🙏🏼 Access to His presence.

♾️ Eternal life.

Jesus is the true Bread who came down from heaven.

Then, at the cross, something incredible happens.

As Jesus—the Bread from Heaven—gives His body and sheds His blood, the curtain separating the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place is torn.

The way into God's presence is opened.

Jesus paid the price so you and I could enter. 🙌🏼🔥

Access to God's presence is no longer reserved for a select few. Through Christ, we have the privilege of drawing near to God and continually living in His presence.

So don't wait until Sunday.

Sunday matters. We gather as the Church, worship together, hear God's Word, and encounter His presence together.

But your relationship with Jesus doesn't have to wait seven days to continue.

You can meet with Him on Monday.

You can experience His presence on Tuesday.

You can seek Him on Wednesday.

You can walk with Him every single day.

Jesus wants to meet with you every day of your life. ❤️

And when we begin living this way, even the way we come to church changes. Instead of arriving only asking, “What can I receive?”, we arrive ready to worship, serve, and give because we have been receiving from God throughout the entire week.

The Bread opened the way to the Presence.

Now the invitation is simple:

Enter. Eat. Remain.
